Guidance for authors preparing submissions to EcoScribe journals. Always review the specific author guidelines of the journal you intend to submit to.

1. Choose the right journal

Confirm that your manuscript fits the journal’s aims, scope and article types before submission.

2. Prepare a complete file

Include title page details, abstract, main text, tables, figures, references, ethics statements, funding and conflicts of interest as required.

3. Use reporting guidance

Use appropriate standards such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, PRISMA-ScR, COREQ or other guidelines relevant to your study design.

Before submission

Read the journal’s aims and scope.
Check formatting and reference requirements.
Ensure authorship, affiliation and correspondence details are accurate.
Declare funding, conflicts of interest and ethical approval where applicable.
Prepare figures and tables in a clear, publication-ready format.
