Article Processing Charges

APC POLICY

Article Processing Charge (APC)

All journals published by EcoScribe Publishers Company Limited operate on an open access model. To support editorial handling and online publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD $50 is applied only after acceptance. There are no submission fees.

What the $50 APC covers

  • Editorial office handling and manuscript tracking
  • Peer-review coordination and editorial decision processes
  • Basic production checks (formatting for online publication, metadata preparation)
  • Online hosting and continuous publication within the journal’s annual volume
  • Long-term article availability on the journal website

What the $50 APC does not cover

Because the APC is intentionally kept low, the following services are not included:

  • Extensive English language editing or professional copy-editing
  • Major figure redesign, graphical abstract design, or specialist formatting services
  • Complex statistical re-analysis on behalf of authors
  • Legal support for permissions/copyright clearances (authors must obtain permissions)
  • Guaranteed indexing in third-party databases (indexing depends on external criteria and timelines)
  • Printing services

Payment timing and policy

  • APCs are payable after acceptance and prior to publication.
  • Authors will receive an invoice with payment instructions from the publisher.
  • Fee waivers or discounts may be considered in limited cases (e.g., invited papers, special issues, demonstrated financial hardship) at the discretion of the editorial office.

How to pay the APC

Payment of the applicable can be done through PayPal, Pesapal, and direct bank deposit. The specific details for the payment process are however made available only after the articles have been accepted for publication. This ensures that scholars do not make anticipatory payments before their articles are accepted for publication. If your submission has been accepted and you do not know how to make your payment, please contact us for assistance.

Ethics and editorial independence

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts are assessed on scholarly merit, methodological quality, and ethical compliance.

 “Speed Promise” disclaimer

Editorial timelines published on this website reflect the journal’s operational targets. While the editorial office aims for a 3–4 week initial decision, timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the extent of revisions required. The journal prioritizes quality and ethical publishing over speed.

SUMMARY

GPHHS (EcoScribe Publishers) charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 for accepted manuscripts only (no submission fee). After a manuscript is accepted, authors are issued an invoice and the APC must be paid before production proceeds; DOIs are assigned only after payment is confirmed. Because the APC supports editorial handling and publication services, payments are generally non-refundable once made, except in limited cases such as duplicate/erroneous payments or where EcoScribe Publishers is unable to proceed with publication for reasons attributable to the journal/publisher; APCs are not refunded for author withdrawal after acceptance, delays, dissatisfaction with editorial decisions, or retractions/withdrawal of acceptance due to misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, redundant publication, unethical research, fabricated data).
