This inaugural issue launches the Global Public Health & Health Systems Journal as a platform for rigorous, policy-relevant, and practice-oriented scholarship in public health and health systems research. The issue brings together an editorial and four review articles addressing core challenges in contemporary global health: post-tuberculosis mortality, community health workers and universal health coverage, digital health interventions in low- and middle-income countries, and health system adaptation to climate change. Collectively, the articles emphasize evidence, equity, resilience, implementation, and health system performance. This first issue sets the journal’s direction as a publishing space for research that informs policy, strengthens service delivery, supports institutional learning, and contributes to better public health outcomes.
